This is a perfect after school snack packed with antioxidants and vitamins.  It’s easy and cute, and the kids can get involved too.


:: Pie Crust
:: Tomatoes
:: Basil, olive oil, salt, pepper
:: Cookie Cutter
Tip: Pick tomatoes that are just a little larger than your cookie cutter.


:: Follow package instruction to preheat oven.
:: Prepare baking tray with parchment paper.
:: Roll out pastry puff, then use cookie cutter to cut hearts.
:: Optional: You can smear tomato paste on pastry at this step.
:: Place a slice of tomato on each heart.
:: Sprinkle basil, salt, pepper.
:: Seal with another heart with a cut out. Crimp edges to seal.
:: Follow instructions to bake until golden brown.
:: Serve with ketchup.
